Happy Mother's Day

Hello crafters. Hope all is well with you.

Today's card was inspired by the latest release from John Next Door.  I watched  the shows and videos and although I  loved the concept of the layering dies and the results were gorgeous, I couldn't justify purchasing them, not even for the convenience of having them all put together in sets! So I had a rummage through my copious dies and layered them up. It's a mish mash of different brands but I think the result isn't too bad. I omitted the rectangular layer which John included.

I used Filigree dies from Creative Craft Products. The dotty edged dies are some old faithful Tonic ones and the plain edge were from Chloe's. The Cornflowers are from JND. I darkened the petals tips with DI and added Dew Drops from Craft Artist to the centres. The sentiment is from The Paper Boutique. The leaves are from my stash.

That's all for now.  Thanks for visiting and any comments you leave- always appreciated.

Happy crafting.

  2. Beautiful card. I think johns layering dies are ideal for those starting out, but like you say those of us already with boxes of nesting dies and budgets can't justify it - but it makes us think outside the box and your created a beautiful card using what you already own so its win win. Emmax
