Kanban Classic Butterflies

Hello lovely crafters. Hope all is well with you.

Another kit completely used up today - finally!!  This was a Kanban kit called Clever Cards Classic Butterflies from I don't know how many years back - definitely from the days of QVC crafting with Dawn Bibby and Leonie!

Most of the kit had been used - just a few toppers and embellishments left.

I used some Papermania paper.

Here I used an embossing folder from Chloe on some white pearlescent card

Daisy Mae Designs Rectangles used here.

Spellbinders leafy frame rectangle.

That's all for today.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you leave - always appreciated :)

Happy crafting and take care.

Eid Cards

Hello lovely crafters. Hope all is well with you.

Today I have a selection of cards I made for Eid which was celebrated a few days ago. I made a  batch following a simple layout using a variety of papers and dies.

All the different papers I used were from various Craft Sensation pads (love these!)
All of these pads have a some foiled designs which I used for the smaller rectangle on each card  (bit hard to make out the foiling in the pics) and I cut these out using different rectangle dies.

For this card I also used some Craft Consortium paper in the background - a lovely marble effect design.
I made multiples in each colour. It was a great way to use up patterned paper and some coloured card blanks I've had for a while.

This lovely sentiment ( it says Eid Mubarak in Urdu/Arabic) is from an Altenew stamp set from many years ago. I think this was my first Altenew purchase!
I used Craft Artist Gold Fusion ink in various colours to stamp some of the sentiment. You can just pick out the flecks of gold amongst the colour.

It took me a while but I thoroughly enjoyed making these cards.

That's all for today. Thanks for visiting and any comments you leave - always appreciated.

Happy crafting and take care.

Twirling Tulips

Hello lovely crafters. Hope all is well with you this Easter Bank Holiday. Well the weather's right - lots of rain!!

I had some fun this long weekend creating with a 3D EF from Spellbinders, the Twirling Tulips by Simon Hurley. I embossed a few panels on white card then used lots of different Distress Oxides to colour with. I didn't use the stencil this time. This EF gives a lovely deep impression although I did re-emboss on a couple of the cards after die-cutting, just to get that depth back. I tried a variety of shaped cards and was able to get two DL cards from a single embossed panel.

This is the first of the two DL cards. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides. Dies used are Lisa Horton Slimline Festive Check Frame. Sentiment is from Creative Expressions Wordies Sheets 'Celebrations'.

Dies used here are Lisa Horton Slimline Layered Daisy Set, MFT Zig Zag Stitched Circles.
Sentiment is from Card Making Magic 'Thinking of You' stamp set.

Distress Oxides used are Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.
Sentiment is from Lisa Horton Fabulous Fonts Set - I've given this a double shadow.

I used nearly the whole embossed panel for this A5 card.
Distress Oxides used: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed,  Rusty Hinge, Seedless Preserves, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.
Dies are Lisa Horton Nested Stitched Bubble Rectangles and Fabulous Fonts sentiments.

For this final card I coloured with Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.
Dies used are Daisy Mae Designs Stitched Nested Arches and First Edition Decorative Topper Sentiment Dies.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you leave - always appreciated :)

Happy crafting.

Flower Jars

Hello lovely crafters. Hope all is well with you.

For today's cards I used some card blanks from an old Kanban box. They're tri-fold with a curved edge and I thought they would be perfect for these DL toppers from a  Hunkydory pad (Flower Jars).

I layered the toppers on the front of the cards. There are some beautiful floral designs in gorgeous colours.

I decoupaged some of the flowers.

I think this my favourite flower.

I also embellished with gems.

I used the matching papers, from  the same pad, to line the inside fold, added a sentiment and embellished with more gems and flowers.

That's all for today. Thanks for visiting and any comments you leave.

Happy crafting.

Hello Autumn

Hello lovely crafters. Hope all is well with you.

Hello Autumn indeed! Where has the summer gone? A definite chill in the morning air these days.

I bought some autumn craft goodies from the Range recently but I was also tempted by their home decor - so many warm colours in cushions, throws, wreaths. I also saw some cute autumn crockery in Asda. I nearly gave in but I don't think I could fit another mug in my cupboard at home!

For this card I used lots of different papers from the Pumpkin Patch paper pad from the Range using Mojo Monday sketch #500 for inspiration.

I die cut some pumpkins and coloured them using Cloud 9 blending ink Early Sunrise from Lisa Horton.  The ribbon is also from the Range and the sentiment was die cut from one of the sheets.

That's all for today.  Thanks for visiting and any comments you leave.

Happy crafting.

Baby Girl

Hello lovely crafters. Hope all is well with you.

I bought the latest box kit from Chloe a while ago. The magazine is packed full of inspiration, but something that really caught my eye was a layout that Chloe used for one of her cards. I thought it would be perfect for using little toppers and motifs.

There are a lot of layers to cut but I did enjoy making this card and in the end I made two more!
For the one above I used paper from Cr. Comp. Blush Pastel Plaid and another patterned paper from my stash.  The white circles were embossed with an Embossaliscious  EF. The sentiment is from SW.

For this card I raided my stash of patterned paper again and I think these are from PM. The bow is from Poppystamps and all the lettering is from Spellbinders Baby Step Block Card set ( as are the little motifs in the first card).

For the final card it was more patterned paper from my stash. This time I used an EF from Cuttlebug and the sentiment is from SW.  All the layers were cut with plain and Filigree dies from Creative Craft Products.  I embellished all the cards with punched flowers/gems.

As I said before, I really enjoyed working with this layout. It's a great way of using up paper and little bits.  I've got my eye on making some wedding cards like this as I have some little wedding toppers to use up. I just need to remember where I've stashed them!!  Anyway, that's all for today.  Thanks for visiting and any comments you leave.

Happy crafting

Just For You Button Blooms

Hello lovely crafters. Hope all is well with you.

I've been playing with some more of Lisa Horton's stencils and embossing folders.  This design is called Button Blooms and features lots of flowers and a cute button like design for the flower centres.

I used lots of different colours of oxides for the different layers. I was trying to emulate the colours that can be seen in the spring garden at the moment. For the smaller panels of this stepper card (using Presscut dies), I added some strips embossed with the same EF and added gems to the flower centres. I finished with a die cut sentiment from The Paper Boutique layered onto some different coloured circles.
