Floral Cupcake

Hello crafters. Hope all is well.

It's been hectic the past few weeks - work and at home, but I've managed to find some time today to visit blogland!

I decided to paper piece the cupcake case after coming across this old paper pad from Dovecraft.

Happy Birthday paper pieced flowers

Hello crafters. Hope all is well.

As soon as I saw the die used in today's card, I knew I wanted to try this technique of piecing the flowers with different colours. It took a bit of time cutting the die in different colours (this time I chose light, spring colours) and then putting the petals back - it's a good job I enjoy jigsaw puzzles!

I'm quite pleased with the effect and of course I've got the different coloured die cut frames which will hopefully feature in future projects.

Especially For you Bellisima

Hello crafters. Hope all is well.

Today's card is a little bit of shabby chic.

I've been busy having a good spring clean of the old crafty stash and some of it is old! So I thought it was time to show some of these forgotten items the light of day and use them up.

This card was made from the beautiful Bellisima collection from Papermania. It's soft colours and gorgeous images are so feminine. As well as this card, I made up some more of the lovely decoupage ready for future cards.

I added the Lisa Horton netted background die, some lace and finished with Poppystamps flowers, SB leaves and pearls.

Happy Birthday To You

A bright, cheery yellow card today! It features flower dies which I fell in love with when I first saw them. They require a bit of manipulation to fold and gather but well worth it I think.

On Your Special Day decoupaged flower

Hello crafters. Hope all is well.

For today's card I've used a favourite decoupaged flower. I think I'm willing spring to hurry up! It is heartening though to see little signs of life here and there in the garden.

To carry on with the leafy theme and add some texture, I've added the vine die to the side panels. It's a short die so I've doubled it up to make it longer. It's from a very versatile Hunkydory set with some beautiful corners and borders.
