Happy Easter

Good morning.  I recently purchased some topper sheets in a sale and decided to make up some easter cards - keeping the layout quite simple -  and this is one that  I came up with.

I've used PM capsule paper shaped with a MS punch. The doily is the new XCut die and the flourish is Marianne.  I used a Woodware punch to create flowers which echoed the shape and colour of the flowers in the topper. The sentiment is a peel off on an inked Spellbinder die rectangle. I completed the card with some glitter glue and shimmer dots.

Happy 40th

This is a quick card I was asked to make for someone to give to their wife from their sons (hope that makes sense!).

It's from an Hunkydory kit full of beautiful pastel colours.  The flower is quite large so I used an 8x8 card and basically embellished with flowers, flourishes made using a Marianne die, mini buttons and a jewel brad in red to echo the colour of the strawberries on the cake.  The letters were cut using X Cut dies and I've finished with coloured gems in the corners.

Rose Garden for Mum

I love buying paper and card - in fact I think I'm addicted!! I particularly like the range from First Edition and this card is made from a recent pad called Rose Garden which is full of lovely pastel florals.

The flourish and doily are both Cheery Lynn and the PM dicut doily is from the Vintage Notes Decoupage Medley and has been embossed with a Sheena Douglass folder. The letters were cut using X Cut dies and these have been placed on tags cut from one of the Rose Garden pages.  I've also used a MS punch for the corners and the butterflies were made using Tonic.  Everything has been edged with either distress inks or markers and I've finished with petal pouches and posies and gems and glitter glue.

Floral Basket

Good morning! Yesterday seemed in need of a little floral colour (although the winter jasmine, christmas box and viburnum are in full flower in the garden) and so this basket of flowers happened.

It's actually a Hunkydory basket card but as its printed beautifully on both sides it seems a shame to have just the one card.  I've raised the topper with thick 3D foam tape and decoupaged some of the flowers.  Some pearls in the corners and a few dimension butterflies and a bow finish it off.  The background card is all adorable scorable.  Simple but pretty I think.

Enjoy your day! X X :)
