I stamped several times and after colouring with Promarkers, cut and built up the layers.  I matted the main image onto a SB Lacey Squares die with some orange ribbon and a MS punched border behind it.  I've finished with some punched and layered butterflies embellished with gems.

I've kept to a green and white colour scheme and used papers from First Edition Floral Pavilion.  I used a Forever Friends embossing folder and stamped the narrow white panel with another stamp from the same set as the main image and coloured in the leaves.  I've finished the card with some white pearls in the corners.

The papers used are Forever Friends The Good Life and some others from my stash.  I used a MS punch on the side strip and added some scalloped gros grain ribbon and a bow.  The sentiment is a peel off coloured in blue.  A couple of jewel brads complete the card.

Just For You - Orange & Turq.

For this card I finally got around to using some stamps that I've had for a while.

The stamps I'm on about are the Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret - I've used the matching dies a few times.  I stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and before layering them, I scrunched them up, distressed the edges a little and then inked with Peacock Feathers and Orange inks.  The papers are my all time favourites from First Edition: Boho Chic and I've distressed all the edges.  I embossed the orange panel with PM Pampered Pets - Vine and the turquoise strip with a Cuttlebug folder. I used SB Decorative Labels One and cut a faux nestie which I inked. I completed the card with a stamped sentiment from Kanban and some pearls.

Especially For You - Monochrome

I fancied doing another monochromatic card today - black and white.  I rather like the idea of layering tone-on-tone colours.

The image is a sweet Party Paws one from Crafters Companion which I stamped onto an SB Floral Oval,  coloured in with Promarkers and then added some glitter glue to centre of the flower.  The papers are all Paper Cellar. I've embossed the white panel with a Sheena Douglass embossing folder and lightly gone over with black ink to highlight the flowers. The sentiment is from the same set and has been stamped in black and clear embossed. I've finished the card with some MB di-cut hearts and some glitter domes.

Lots of Love - yellow

A bit drab and dreary today so I thought I'd brighten things up a little with this monochromatic card in shades of yellow.

I think this Country Companions stamp ( a magazine freebie) is so cute and after stamping in Memento Rich Cocoa and colouring in with Promarkers, I paper pieced the top he/she is wearing.  The papers are all from PM Capsule Lemon Sorbet. The dies I used are SB Classic Ovals and Floral Ovals.  I added some flowers made with MB Fabulous Phlox and Nellie Snellen punches and finished with some yellow pearls and lace.  The sentiment is from Kanban and has been stamped using Rich Cocoa.

Another cute image from the Country Companion's range.

I've used a topper and jazzed it up with some glitter glue.  The papers are a combination of Daisy and Dandelion Lovingly Yours and CC For Someone Special.  I created a doily using an X Cut punch and added some green gems.  The flowers were created using Heartfelt Creations Asters dies and I tucked in a few flourishes and leaves made with Marianne dies.  The sentiment is from a Kanban set stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and I've finished with a couple of corner peel-offs and a yellow glitter dome.

Just For You - Fizzy Moon

In a pink mood today so I decided to use this Fizzy Moon image with the matching papers.

I love this cute bear and this one is actually a sticker which I've stuck on with some foam pads (dusting the back with talc) onto  a SB Labels 3 which has been inked with Spun Sugar and combined with a hand cut faux nestie in pink. The embossing has been done with a Cuttlebug folder and I've added a few PM Vintage buttons threaded with twine and a matching Fizzy Moon brad.  The sentiment is from Kanban and has been stamped with Spun Sugar.

Baby Boy - decoupage

A baby card using decoupage from I don't know when!! I like to  cut and assemble decoupage when I'm watching TV especially in the winter when there's not much time to craft in natural daylight.

The patterned papers are a mixture of Lillibet and Forever Friends.  I've also used  SB Lacey and Scalloped Circles dies, a Woodware punch, Boofle buttons embossing folder, some PM dotty ribbon, Anita's peel off sentiment and some mosaic gems.

Summery Best Wishes

Today, I've chosen this lovely stamp from Imagination Crafts.

I started with a scalloped blank square and some patterned paper from First Edition Hideaway and backed this onto plain orange card.  I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa, coloured it in with Promarkers and backed it onto an orange mat die cut with SB Lacey Squares.  The sentiment (from the same stamp set) was also stamped in Rich Cocoa onto a die cut plain circle which I inked with orange whilst it was still in the die and mounted this onto a Lacey Circle die and added some orange gems . To balance the opposite corner, I tied a bow using yellow PM Capsule dotty ribbon with some punched and layered flowers and a yellow pearl brad through the centre.

Have a Great Day - Wellies

It's a decoupaged image from the lovely Lucy Cromwell range.  The papers are from the same range and I've just added a Martha Stewart punched butterfly and a few gems.

Spots n Stripes Birthday

I've had a selection of these chipboard flowers in my stash for ages and I thought these bright colours from PM suited this flower perfectly.

All the papers are from the Brights collection, I've just used red backing card and done a dash border all around.  I've stamped a small Hunkydory flower in turquoise blue around the edge of the sentment topper and added a Glitterations greeting.  The flourish is from Cheery Lynn with PM Capsule polka dot buttons.  I've used this same layout with different colours of flowers and papers as can be seen below>

On the left one I've used First Edition Spring Feast papers, X Cut punched flowers with small glitterations dots for centres and a Kanban stamped sentiment. The one on the right has been made using First Edition J'Adore papers with red polka dot buttons.

Floral Teacup

A pretty floral image today.  I love this Hunkdory stamp - overflowing with flowers.

I've coloured it in with Promarkers and given the flower centres a bit of glitz with some glitter glue.  The papers are the beautiful PM Lucy Cromwell edged with Victorian Velvet Distress ink.  To continue with the floral theme, I dicut and layered a flower using Spellbinders Rose Creations dies and added a yellow pearl brad through the centre.  I tucked in a few Marianne dicut leaves and finished with a bow and a sentiment topper made with a  Woodware punch, Spellbinders die and a Kanban stamp once again using Victorian Velvet ink.

Fairy Wishes

Another topper and matching papers, this time from the PM Enchanted Fairies range.

I've inked all edges with purple ink and Promarker pen.  I embossed the plain purple panel with a Sheena Douglass Folder - the pattern was similar to the background paper- and layered some ric rac over the Martha Stewart punched border.  Lots of punched and layered flowers made with X Cut punches frame the toppers and the finishing touch is glitter on all the flowers.

Tuesday, 16 July 2013

Country Companions - Hedgehog

Today I've used a topper from the lovely Country Companions 'For Someone Special' range.  The papers all from here too.

I've used  scalloped blade scissors (couldn't find the right shaped oval die), Martha Stewart border punch and layered this with a PM spotty ribbon and then added lots of layered paper flowers and rose buds finished with glitter glue.

Monday, 15 July 2013

Orange Floral Delights

A flurry of orange today.  The stamp I've used is a PM one coloured with a combination of Promarkers and Whispers pens. The sentiment is from a Party Paws set.

The papers are from one of my all time favourites from First Edition,  Boho Chic.  I've inked the white edges with orange and green inks to soften them and glittered the centres of all flowers- punched and stamped - with glitter glue. The punches used are an X Cut border, Tonic and Woodware and a Spellbinders die.  I've finished with some green and orange gems.

With Love - Floral Decoupage

One of my favourite decoupage images.

I've used some First Edition Floral Pavilion papers (all inked with a Promarker) and a Kanban sentiment stamp.  The punches used are a Tonic border and Woodware and some X Cut, Spellbinders and Marianne dies.

Lillibet - anyone nicer than you

Using a sentiment as the focal point instead of an image this time.

The papers, doily and sentiment stamp are all from the new Lillibet range from Trimcraft.  I've just used a Martha Stewart border punch, some Spellbinders dies and added some Anita's ribbon and PM and Petaloo flowers from my stash and finished with some gems and a pearl.

With Love - Baby Blue Tit

A cute little image from Hunkydory  coloured in with Promarkers.  The papers are all Dovecraft River Revels - used mainly because of the blue tits on the base layer and edged with brown marker pen.

The stamped sentiment is from the same set and the butterfly is from a Party Paws set.  I've finished with some blue ribbon and punched, layered and inked flowers (new X cut) with AB gems.

Spotty shoes

This is another stamp from this range by Crafters Companion and once again I coloured it in with Promarkers.

The papers are PM Spots n Stripes - nice and bright - and I've used a Martha Stewart border punch on the black mat.  I've embellished with some blue scalloped grosgrain ribbon to echo the blue stamped butterflies  and a couple of punched and layered butterflies (using the new X cut punches which punch beautifully - their best ones yet I think). Some glitter glue on the stamped flower and butterflies and gems on the punched ones finish the card.

A Special Wish

Another Bamboo card - I love this stamp which I've coloured in with Promarkers.

I've used Papermania Rose Garden papers and border; a Tonic border punch; X cut leaf punch and spellbinders dies for the sentiment and flowers (which I've inked, lined and glittered).  The flowers on the branch have also been finished with glitter glue.

Sunday, 7 July 2013

Jumbo Flower

This is one of my favourite stamps - Zinnia from Stampendous Jumbo stamps.  I coloured it in with Promarkers to match the background  papers.

I've done this same layout in lots of different colours and using lots of different patterned papers - that was a lot of colouring! The samples featured are using First Edition papers -   Floral Pavilion and Rose Garden. A spellbinders die is the mat for the flowers and the sentiments are Hunkydory.

Wedding cake

A wedding card using a Kanban die-cut decoupage cake.

Once again I've used a heart doily and also a Marianne frame under the decoupage.  A blue organza bow and some peel offs for the corners and on the doily.  Tha paper is from a Kanban pad.

Friday, 5 July 2013

Ruby Anniversary

This card came about after a request for Ruby Ann. cards.  The topper is from a Kanban kit.

The doily under the topper is from Dovecraft and I've added a rose centred bow.  The top and bottom edges have been done with an EK border punch - one of my favourites - with gold mirri underneath.

Birthday Flowers

I've used a cute Bamboo stamp from Crafters Companion and coloured it in with Promarkers.

The papers I've used are First Edition New Bloom.  The stamped sentiment is from the same set and I've added ribbon and layered flowers punched with a Woodware punch with card candi centres.  The edges have been done with a Promarker pen and purple ink and the stamped toppers have been edged with glitter.

Happy Easter

Good morning.  I recently purchased some topper sheets in a sale and decided to make up some easter cards - keeping the layout quite simple -  and this is one that  I came up with.

I've used PM capsule paper shaped with a MS punch. The doily is the new XCut die and the flourish is Marianne.  I used a Woodware punch to create flowers which echoed the shape and colour of the flowers in the topper. The sentiment is a peel off on an inked Spellbinder die rectangle. I completed the card with some glitter glue and shimmer dots.

Happy 40th

This is a quick card I was asked to make for someone to give to their wife from their sons (hope that makes sense!).

It's from an Hunkydory kit full of beautiful pastel colours.  The flower is quite large so I used an 8x8 card and basically embellished with flowers, flourishes made using a Marianne die, mini buttons and a jewel brad in red to echo the colour of the strawberries on the cake.  The letters were cut using X Cut dies and I've finished with coloured gems in the corners.

Rose Garden for Mum

I love buying paper and card - in fact I think I'm addicted!! I particularly like the range from First Edition and this card is made from a recent pad called Rose Garden which is full of lovely pastel florals.

The flourish and doily are both Cheery Lynn and the PM dicut doily is from the Vintage Notes Decoupage Medley and has been embossed with a Sheena Douglass folder. The letters were cut using X Cut dies and these have been placed on tags cut from one of the Rose Garden pages.  I've also used a MS punch for the corners and the butterflies were made using Tonic.  Everything has been edged with either distress inks or markers and I've finished with petal pouches and posies and gems and glitter glue.

Floral Basket

Good morning! Yesterday seemed in need of a little floral colour (although the winter jasmine, christmas box and viburnum are in full flower in the garden) and so this basket of flowers happened.

It's actually a Hunkydory basket card but as its printed beautifully on both sides it seems a shame to have just the one card.  I've raised the topper with thick 3D foam tape and decoupaged some of the flowers.  Some pearls in the corners and a few dimension butterflies and a bow finish it off.  The background card is all adorable scorable.  Simple but pretty I think.

Enjoy your day! X X :)

'Love'ly cards

Today I've turned my attention to Valentine's cards and here are a couple I've made using a favourite stamp of mine from Serendipity (I watched the film of that name a few weeks ago - it was OK).

For this frist card, I stamped and embossed in silver and gently coloured the image with Promarkers for a hint of colour  to go with the sentiment which is from Kanban.  I mounted the cut out heart onto an X cut die cut heart.  I embossed the card background with a Sheena Douglass folder and finished with some gems, pearls and small hearts which were the waste from the die cut heart.

This card uses the same image but this time I've given it more intense colour with Promarkers and glitter glue for the centre of the flowers.  The paper is Me To You With Love and I've also used a MS punch and a FF sentiment.

Happy crafting! :)

My first card

Well, this is it: my first foray into blogland!

It's a Mother's Day card following a docrafts daily sketch. I've used a Kanban topper and background card from the Language of Flowers Kit. All the edges have been inked with Dusty Concord Distress Ink before matting onto plain purple. The flowers were made using Woodware punches with a Dovecraft glittered flower brad in the centre of each and some leaves made with a Spellbinders die. The stamped sentiment is from Personal Impressions.  I've finished with some organza ribbon and glitter glue.
